On 28 June 1948, DETEKTEI-HOLLER was founded as a one-man business in Bielefeld by Karl Holler.

Karl Holler not only led his detective agency from its humble beginnings to a successful business, he was also one of the first members of today’s Bundesverband Deutscher Detektive e. V. (federal association of German detectives) and simultaneously served as its president.

Already during the forties and fifties, the cases Karl Holler worked on mostly concerned intra- and extra-corporate problems of businesses, including many cases of transnational patent and trademark infringement, as well as suspicion of insurance fraud.

In 1970, Karl Holler’s daughter Eveline Wippermann entered into the company after targeted vocational training. Following the founder’s death, she took over the company.

Eveline Wippermann continued her father’s success. Due to a combination of expertise, professionalism, networked thinking, and the necessary business acumen, the former one-man business of her father developed into the well-known business investigation firm DETEKTEI-HOLLER GmbH. This family business is now successful in its third generation with Sandra Wippermann, Certified Fraud Manager (FS).

Supporting the activities of the Bundesverband Deutscher Detektive e.V. has always been of great importance to Eveline Wippermann.

For this reason, she has taken active part starting in 1994 and serves as vice president to the association whose president she was from 2000 until 2013.

Additionally, Eveline Wippermann was a member of the board of the ASW Bundesverband [Allianz für Sicherheit der Wirtschaft e. V. (Alliance for the Safety of the Businesses e. V.)].

In 2018, we decided to change the company name and to part with the term ‘Detektei’, not least due to several recommendations concerning this matter. This change was also motivated by the fact that ‘Detektei’ can no longer fully express nature and scope of our individual services.

Only the right path leads to the solution.
